We are overwhelmed by your response to our #GIVE2VETERANS initiative! It was amazing to see this collaborative community effort unfold and watch #GIVE2VETERANS grow from a couple hundred mentions to well over half a million! Thank you to all of our online participants and a special shout-out to all of the celebrities and influencers who shared our initiative with their thousands of followers – we would not have been able to accomplish this without your support.
We are happy to announce we surpassed our target of 500,000 social media posts on Veterans Day and totaled 691,000 mentions and likes with the hashtag #GIVE2VETERANS – and reached more than 253 million people worldwide!
The #GIVE2VETERANS campaign originated to GIVE back to all of the heroes who have served our country. For every use of the hashtag, up to 500,000 mentions, we donated $1 to the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
Since 2006, the Bob Woodruff Foundation has worked to create long-lasting, positive outcomes for our nation’s veterans, service members and their families. They find, fund and shape initiatives that enrich the lives of our heroes. Consistent with Love the GIVE’s mission, we are honored to have worked with such a committed team of givers.
#GIVE2VETERANS has come to a close but our commitment to giving is unending. We challenge you to continue giving along with us—no GIVE is too small.
